Steal my 27 Favorite Winter Solstice Rituals! ❄️

The men in my home have been sick… so I've been taking a break from my Holiday Adventures of 2025 to stay home this week and tend to them.

I've been using the time on the couch to make plans for Winter Solstice 2025 😊

If you've been around here for a hot minute, you know that Winter Solstice is my favorite day of the year.

It's like the Superbowl, my birthday and Christmas all smooshed into one :)

This year, the actual Solstice is on Sunday, December 21. I'm psyched that it's on a weekend… so everyone can enjoy it!  I'm planning a second celebration with some dear friends on Dec 22, just for kicks.

I've had so much fun planning for Solstice that I thought…

Why not put all my fun Solstice ideas into one guide and gift them to you, Christi? 😍

Why all the fuss about Solstice?

Well… it's the shortest day of the year… and the longest night.

A lot of people celebrate the fact that daylight starts to increase again after Solstice, moving us slowly back towards summer!  ☀️

But I also love to celebrate the darkness. 🌑

See… if you're rushing through your day, it's kind of annoying when it gets dark at 4:00pm.

But if you're intentional about it… that early darkness can be truly magical.

Before electricity…  the darkness that came during the winter would FORCE us to pause and take a break… go to bed early… and hibernate.

These days, screens and lightbulbs keep us going, going, going all day and night.

In our modern world… sometimes we need a reminder to slow down a bit.

To me, Winter Solstice is the perfect reminder to hit the PAUSE button during a rushed, busy holiday season.

What's included?

27 nourishing, relaxing, and adventurous ways to bring intention and a little magic to the Solstice:

Snuggly morning rituals…

Crafts…

Food ideas…

Fun for the kids…

Indoor options…

Sunset/nighttime rituals…

Outdoor adventures…

A scavenger hunt bingo card…

And more!

** I also included pictures from our family's past Solstice adventures…

as “real life” examples of a Solstice day. **

There's no need to do everything in the Guide. As you read, notice which ideas light you up. Choose just one or two and let the day unfold from there.

In fact, none of these ideas have to be done on the Solstice. You could plan an entire winter of beauty and magic by doing 1 or 2 each week between now and spring!

Christi
