Have you heard of all of these? Or are some of them new for you?!

  1. Wear mouth tape.

  2. Stop hydrating several hours before bed.

  3. Turn the thermostat down so the room is cool.

  4. Turn the wifi off.

  5. Have your last bite of food 3-4 hours before bedtime.

  6. Block all light in your bedroom (use blackout shades and black stickers as needed).

  7. Do not bring your phone into your bedroom.

  8. Get sunrise and UVA light into your eyes in the early morning to jumpstart your circadian clock and kickoff the production of pineal melatonin at bedtime.

  9. If your partner snores, consider sleeping in a separate bed.

  10. Replace the lightbulbs you use after dark with red bulbs to block the blue and green light, allowing melatonin to be produced easily to help you fall asleep. Also put red nightlights in your bathrooms so if you use the bathroom in the middle of the night, the light will not cause a cortisol spike pike that will keep you up. Find my favorite lightbulbs HERE.

xoxo,

Christi
